What a week – Hillary Clinton announced that she is running for President!

I always say, “To be chosen you have to choose yourself first.”

Have any of you ever dreamed of being the President of a country? Do you even imagine that it could be possible for you? Well in fact, so many Latinas have had that dream and made it a reality.

Did you know that in Latin America, there have been 8 women Presidents and many more that have run for President, including our own Adelante member and Nobel Peace Laureate, Rigoberta Menchu.

This week, another incredible Latina, Gloria Estefan, announced a Broadway Musical show about her and Emilio Estefan’s life. When I was 17 years old I produced a documentary about this young couple starting out as “music entrepreneurs ” who were struggling. See how Gloria and Emilio’s journey began and how they “chose” themselves first in order for the world to discover them.
